Project manager from Germany visits the Vocational Education and Training Partnership Project in Honduras

Second visit of bbw project manager Angie Dröber to Honduras in the new VET Partnership Project Honduras, which started on 1 July 2023 with a duration of 3 years in the first phase.

In close cooperation with the Honduran umbrella chamber FEDECAMARA and two of the most efficient chambers (Cámara de Comercio e Industrias) in Honduras, the CCIT in Tegucigalpa and the CCICH in Choloma, the aim is to promote the employability of young Hondurans and thus contribute to reducing flight and migration.

In this project, the three project partners are providing targeted support to five other local chambers spread across the country and jointly creating or further developing regional needs-oriented training and further education programmes in vocational education and training as well as programmes to integrate young people into the labour market. The chambers selected for this are: CCI Cortés, CCI Atlántida, CCI Olancho, CCI Comayagua and CCI Sur.

In the meantime, the bbw project manager has visited all the participating chambers in the country, gained an impression and recently took part in a team-building workshop for all those involved in the project at Lago Yojoa. The commitment and motivation of everyone involved is high, as are the expectations for the success of the project, which should not be in doubt with such a highly motivated team.
