UPTOOL - Searching for the Perfect Learning Environment in the EU

Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw) is implementing the Erasmus Plus project UPTOOL together with the project partners Purple Campus and haikara from France and the University of Latvia in Riga. The aim is to find the ideal learning environment for people from the EU with different social and societal backgrounds.

For this purpose, the project's implementers are working with learners and teachers in different institutions in France, Germany and Latvia. The project will analyze which form of learning is best suited for which type of learners in the EU. The training to be provided in the project will equip teachers with the necessary social and methodological skills to successfully prepare future European workers for the labor market.

Development of new jobs and job descriptions - Adaptation of training

The labor market is undergoing dynamic change. On the one hand, new jobs are emerging and job descriptions are expanding and changing. On the other hand, employment opportunities in the low-wage sector are increasingly being eliminated. Future employees must be prepared for these changes.

Different learning approaches to knowledge transfer

E-learning practices in vocational education open the way for a comprehensive modernization of pedagogical approaches: Development of new tools, increase of interactivity, diversification of tools, flexibility and empowerment. These factors are crucial for the necessary adaptation of the training offer to the learners' needs, increasing their motivation and commitment to learning.

UPTOOL aims to address these challenges by facilitating active pedagogy and a better understanding of the heterogeneity of learners' profiles by offering a customized online education ecosystem. Thus, UPTOOL will enable to better reap the benefits of digital learning by improving the inclusion and digital skills of learners and educators. To achieve these goals, an important part of UPTOOL is to understand learner profiles and how they influence the effectiveness of online modalities.
